Thank you for considering the LBA's Placement Service for assistance in your candidate search. All of our candidates are pre-screened personally by our placement director. The screening process includes a personal interview, education and bar standing verification, testing where applicable and reference checks. Should a candidate not appear to be a good recommendation, he or she will not be submitted to our clients.
The process by which we perform the candidate search goes as follows:
Those interested should e-mail a job description, including work hours, salary, benefits offered, a brief description of job duties, and experience and education level desired of the candidates to Placement Director David Mohr at email@example.com.
David will then search his database of candidates for those who fill the specified requirements and are actively seeking employment. He will also advertise and recruit for the position.
Once he has found a suitable group of candidates (i.e., only those who appear to meet the qualifications needed to perform the job), David will submit, to you, the resumes of those individuals.
If you choose to hire a candidate unassociated with the LBA Placement Service, you owe nothing. If you do hire a candidate provided by the LBA, we will generate an invoice for the placement after verifying he or she is performing well as an employee of your firm. Should that candidate not work out for any reason within 45 days of placement, we will restart the recruiting and interview efforts to replace that candidate at no extra charge.

LITIGATION PARALEGAL - Medium size firm located in downtown Louisville is currently seeking an experienced litigation paralegal for their busy defense practice. Candidate must have at least 5 years of defense litigation experience, (not plaintiff), be well organized, sharp and self-motivated. Over-time may be needed at times. Pay is based on candidate, plus excellent benefits and paid parking.
ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - Medium size Insurance Defense firm located in downtown Louisville is currently seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 5 years of related experience. Must have license to practice in KY. Does not have to have trial experience or a book of business, but must have the confidence and experience with defense litigation to take a case to trial. Salary is based on candidate, plus excellent benefits and allocation bonus system. Interested parties should not only provided a resume in MS Word format, but a writing sample and cover letter, along with law school transcripts.
LEGAL SECRETARY/ASSISTANT - Legal Assistant needed for a medium size firm located in downtown Louisville. This assistant will support a couple of Attorneys involved in defense litigation work. Candidate must have at least 2 years of related experience, be detail oriented, have excellent computer and typing skills and be self-motivated. This is a full time position with full benefits, including parking. Pay is approx. $32-$35,000 to start.
LEGAL SECRETARY/ASSISTANT - Legal Assistant needed for a small to medium size firm located in downtown Louisville. This assistant will support a couple of Attorneys involved in business, corporate and estate planning practice. Candidate must have at least 2-3 years of experience in these areas, be detail oriented, have excellent computer and typing skills and be self-motivated. RECEPTIONIST/SECRETARY - Small law firm located near Stoneybrook is seeking to fill a Receptionist/Assistant position. When not answering the phones or backing up the Legal Secretaries, you will be doing filing and other misc. administrative duties. Must be personable, a team player and have good computer and typing skills. Prefer at least 1 year direct experience. Pay is based on candidate.
