Lively Wilson was known throughout his personal and professional life for his ethics and integrity.  He was an admirer of Louis Brandeis.  In these transformative times as the challenges to the courts and the other legal institutions that represent democratic values, we can turn to Louis Brandeis for insights into how we can engage civically as members of the legal profession in responding to these changes and challenges.

This one-hour presentation highlights the Louisville and Kentucky roots that shaped the principles of Louis Brandeis in his professional life as an advocate and as a justice on the Supreme Court and suggests insights into how to frame how we, as lawyers, can be guided by these principles today.

Speaker Laura Rothstein, University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law
