Beginning in late 2019 and early 2020, the Jefferson Circuit Court will launch Kentucky’s first Business Court Docket, a circuit court division specially designed for commercial disputes with two circuit judges assigned--Judge Angela McCormick Bisig and Judge Charles L. Cunningham. In this free two-hour panel discussion, the LBA Litigation Section will host Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Lisabeth T. Hughes, Judge McCormick Bisig and Judge Cunningham, along with Business Court Docket Advisory Committee members Janet Jakubowicz and Libby Gray and Kevin Smalley from the Office of the Circuit Court Clerk, to educate LBA members on the rules, procedures, jurisdiction, and other unique aspects of litigating a civil dispute in this first-of-its-kind division.
