October is National Pro Bono Month! We hope you will join the Louisville Bar Association (LBA) and the Legal Aid Society (LAS) on October 23 for lunch and a continuing legal education program to celebrate those who have provided pro bono legal assistance to clients in need and/or donated their time and efforts to our public service projects this year! This event will feature a panel discussion about the impact of evictions in Jefferson County. Three speakers - Cathy Hinko, Metropolitan Housing Coalition, and Megan McGinn, Alltrade Property Management will give an overview of the relevant substantive law and discuss public policy issues associated with the eviction process.

The lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. at the LBA with a brief ceremony at which LAS’ Volunteer Lawyer Program will recognize attorneys and firms who have provided outstanding pro bono efforts in 2019. The program will follow at noon and end at 1 pm. This event is FREE to our volunteers. For any others interested in attending, the cost is $40 for LBA members and $80 for non-members.

All handout materials are via electronic download. Paper copy may be purchased for an additional cost.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received by the LBA 24 hours in advance to receive a credit or refund. Substitutes will be allowed.
