Cell Phone Evidence Preservation & Spoliation, Wear Leveling & Garbage Collection examines how cell phones store and manage information from an evidence preservation point of view. Information in a cell phone can be irretrievably lost during the normal operation of the phone. We will take a look at how to educate our opposition on how to preserve the evidence we are looking for, as well as steps we can take to make sure our clients are in compliance of a preservation letter for his or her phone.
Benjamin Bierce consults with attorneys engaged in civil litigation through Revelation Cellular Forensics and is a Detective with the Franklin (IN) police department where he specializes in digital forensics. Bierce is a retired Special Agent with the US Army Criminal Investigation Division and a former Detective with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
