On Friday, September 22, 2017, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, the LBA’s Bankruptcy Section will put on a brown bag CLE presentation featuring Judge Joan A. Lloyd, from the US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Kentucky, and Judge Basil H. Lorch III, from the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana, who will share insights on current topics of interest for practitioners, including some recent opinions by courts from other jurisdictions and the amended Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure that will be going into effect this December. Deborah (“Debbie”) Caruso, partner at Rubin & Levin PC, in Indianapolis, will also be a featured speaker. Ms. Caruso is the appointed chapter 7 trustee overseeing the liquidation of ITT Technical Institute-the for-profit college that closed more than 130 campuses across the country last year-and she will be discussing several issues of interest to commercial and consumer bankruptcy attorneys that have arisen in the ITT bankruptcy.
