Every profession has its rising stars, and in the Louisville legal community, many of those future leaders have found their path through the LBA Leadership Academy. After a short hiatus, we’re excited to announce that applications are officially open for the 2026 program.
The Academy is designed for attorneys with four to ten years of experience. Those years when you’re finding your voice, building your practice and beginning to see the influence you can have beyond your own caseload. This isn’t just about adding another line to your résumé. It’s about investing in yourself as a leader, building meaningful connections, and learning from the brightest minds in law and beyond.
Meeting once a month for six months beginning in January 2026, participants will engage in a curriculum that’s as practical as it is inspiring. Topics include strategic planning and team building, ethics and professionalism in leadership, business development strategies and community engagement with a focus on social responsibility. We’ll also look at how technology and innovation are changing the practice of law and explore the challenges and opportunities of change management and embracing diversity.
If you’re ambitious, eager to make a lasting impact and ready to step into leadership, this program is for you. Past graduates of the Leadership Academy have gone on to serve as judges, firm leaders and leaders within the Bar. Many continue to credit the program as a stepping stone in their professional journey.
Applications open Monday, October 6, 2025, and close Friday, November 21, 2025.
