LOUISVILLE - Legal and medical professionals, students, and community supporters from across Kentuckiana are lacing up for the LBA’s fifth annual Ramble 5k fun run/fitness walk benefiting Doctors & Lawyers for Kids, a medical-legal partnership designed to improve the health and well-being of low-income children and families.

The Louisville Bar Association invites everyone to Beckley Creek Park at the Parklands of Floyds Fork on Saturday, Aug. 16 to join in the fun, celebrate good health and support a great cause.

As a family (and pet!) friendly affair, participants will enjoy food and refreshments, inflatables and playground equipment for kids, a cutest dog contest, and much more!

The 3.1 mile fun run and fitness walk will begin at 9 a.m. with late registration beginning at 8 a.m.

Early registration is $35 per person prior to August 13 ($15 for students), or $40 thereafter, up to the day of the event ($20 for students). Groups of four or more participants will receive a $5 discount (does not apply on student rate). Kids ages 12 and under are FREE.

Registration will open on Wednesday, June 25, and includes participation in the 5k run/walk, a goodie bag and access to event entertainment. Register by July 31 and receive a free t-shirt!

About the Beneficiary

Doctors & Lawyers for Kids is a partnership of Legal Aid Society, Louisville Bar Association and University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics. Its mission is to connect the medical and legal professions to address legal needs that affect the health and welfare of children and their families. The program has concluded its first full year by representing 110 low-income families in the areas of housing, utilities, income supports, education, legal status, and family safety and stability.
