Join us for an exploration of Kentucky's expungement law with our speaker, Miranda J. Hellman, Staff Attorney at the Department of Public Advocacy, The Kentucky Innocence Project. Expungement, the legal process of removing arrests, charges, or convictions from an individual's record, holds significant importance for many seeking a fresh start. Unlike some states, Kentucky does not offer automatic expungement, necessitating individuals to proactively file with the relevant court.

In this session, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of Kentucky's expungement landscape, including the eligibility criteria, the types of offenses typically expungable (such as misdemeanors and class D felonies), and the intricate process of filing and representation.

Whether you're navigating expungement for yourself or assisting others, this program will equip you with the knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of expungement law in Kentucky.
