In this two-hour presentation, Professor Giesel will discuss recent developments in Professional Responsibility, focusing on ABA opinions (securing communication of client information, independent research by judges, the “generally known” exception for confidences of former clients, and blogging), Kentucky ethics opinions, changes to the Kentucky Rules of Professional Conduct and the Kentucky Code of Judicial Conduct, several recent Kentucky cases touching upon legal ethics, and other interesting ethics issues on the national landscape.
