Presented by the LBA Human Rights Section.

Across Kentucky there are many immigrants who find themselves in a life-altering situation when they are detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Immigration detainees do not have any constitutional rights to representation and often remain in detention for months when they are eligible for bond. Obtaining a bond allows individuals to be with their families and to better prepare for future hearings in their case. This CLE will provide a step-by-step guide for all attorneys to be able to represent detainees even if they do not have previous experience with immigration law.

Up to 10 LBA members can attend this seminar FREE of charge by agreeing to represent TWO pro bono immigration cases. Please call the LBA CLE Department at 583-5314 to register for this option.
