This program will cover a variety of issues that can arise for the probate and/or elder law practitioner. Topics will include Hon. David Bowles’ perspective from the bench of how to effectively handle disability and guardianship court cases; settlements for minors; specifically, opening guardianship estates to settle claims on behalf of the minor, and what happens when the plaintiff's attorneys withdraw, leaving the funds at risk; the types of cases handled by the Public Administrator, when to get the PA appointed, how to utilize the PA as a resource, and tips for dealing with the PA office and ethics for the elder law and probate practitioners.

All handout materials are via electronic download. Paper copy may be purchased for an additional cost.
