Santa's Coming Soon!

Donate to the LBA's Santa's Court Toy Drive, benefitting the Salvation Army, and give a gift to a child in need.

The leaves are turning and a chill is in the air, which means winter is just around the corner! For those of you making your holiday shopping plans don’t forget to add the LBA to your “Nice” list this year and make a donation to the 19th annual Santa’s Court Toy Drive, benefitting The Salvation Army. This long partnership has provided nearly 27,000 toys and $95,000 in monetary contributions for The Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army says that donations from the LBA are consistently the best and highest quality -- and that without this support, hundreds of children hoping for gifts each year would go without. The LBA is one of only a few organizations to direct contributions to children not adopted from the Angel Trees.

How to Participate Call today to sign up your firm, office, or section (Please contact Kate Lindsay by e-mail or by phone at (502) 292-6729). Set up a display at a central location where toys may be deposited. On December 13th and 14th, LBA volunteers will come to your office and pick up the toys. Or, gifts may be dropped off at any time at the LBA.

What to Collect Toys, toys and more toys! Monetary donations are also acceptable and checks should be made payable to The Salvation Army. Toys must be new and unwrapped, and the recommended price range is $10-15. The LBA asks elves to shop with older children in mind because they are the ones most often left behind. (Santa suggests card and board games, sporting goods, and electronic items like movies, CDs and games. Don’t forget batteries.) All contributions are tax-deductible.

Important Dates The deadline for collecting toys is Tuesday, December 11. Pick up will take place on Thursday Dec. 13 and Friday, Dec. 14. Any gifts dropped off at the LBA should arrive no later than noon on December 14.

Please join us either once again, or for the first time, this holiday season in putting smiles on the faces of children!
