Life and Franchised Group Disability Insurance: New members of the LBA are eligible for $50,000 coverage in the LBA Life Insurance Plan and $1,000 monthly disability benefit protection on a guaranteed issue basis. Individual Disability Insurance: Individual disability income protection is guaranteed renewable to age 65 through National Insurance Agency, Inc. Contact Richard Shawn or Woody Long at 425-3232.

Professional Liability Insurance: LBA endorsed coverage plans with limits up to $5 million through PICA Group Services, Inc. Coverage underwritten by Philadelphia Insurance Companies, rated A+. Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company offers legal malpractice insurance based on claims experience rather than on a national trend. LMIC is a Kentucky company owned and operated by Kentucky lawyers, and writes insurance in Kentucky only. For more information, please call Pete Gullett at 568-6100.

Group Dental and Vision Benefits: Available to LBA members through several providers. Many preventive and diagnostic services are covered at 100%. For additional information on these programs, call Pat Sils at Winston & Company Benefits, Inc., at 245-1516.

Bar Facilities: The LBA makes available to its members the Louisville Bar Center. The well-appointed facility includes conference rooms, a board room, and a seminar room for meetings, depositions, etc. For more information and reservations, contact the LBA at 583-5314.

Placement Services: The LBA Placement Service provides law firms with qualified support staff at reduced rates. The Placement service offers permanent full-time and part-time placements, with screening and testing of applicants, reference checking, and a 60-day guarantee. Attorney's Room: LBA members have use of the Attorney's Room located on the second floor of the Jefferson County Judicial Center. This facility is equipped with telephones, fax, copier, and computer hook-ups. Members can prepare for court of just relax. Access is controlled by an electronic card system. Mailing Labels: LBA members can purchase mailing labels of the LBA membership for $200 per set. Labels are sold to the public for $350. Contact Marisa Motley at 583-5314 or mmotley@loubar.org.

Banking Services: A Republic Bank offers a financial package exclusively for LBA members which includes preferred rates on products and services such as checking, mortgage loans, money market accounts, and home equity lines of credit. Travel Discounts: LBA members can receive discounts at major car rental companies and hotels/motels through Membership Management Services. These discounts are available for nationwide travel. Subscription Discount: The monthly Louisville magazine offers LBA members a subscription rate of $9, one-half the standard price. To subscribe, call 625-0100 and mention the LBA discount or send an e-mail to loumag@loumag.com.

Payroll/Tax Service: Paychex offers a variety of payment options including checks, direct deposit, or access cards; easy to read reports; accurate and timely payroll tax deposits and returns; and optional payroll-related administrative assistance with workers' comp, retirement plans, and more. Payment Processing Service: Sign up with National Processing Company (NPC) and have the availability of accepting credit card payments in your office. LBA members receive discounts on service and equipment through special rates offered. Car Rental: Enterprise Rent-A-Car makes available low prices for all LBA members through the LBA Corporate Rate, which has a maximum amount that members will be charged, or a 10% discount off the internet price if reserving online.
