Section Opportunities
A tremendous benefit of membership in the Louisville Bar Association is the opportunity to join one or more of the practice-related sections. The LBA offers 18 different sections covering a wide range of specialty areas:

LBA members wishing to attend a section meeting must belong to the particular section hosting the meeting. However, LBA members can attend two section meetings as a guest before joining the section.

The mission for each section is to provide members an opportunity to meet on a regular basis (ranging from monthly to quarterly) to discuss topics of interest in their field. In addition, sections are responsible for the majority of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programming at the LBA. Each section is asked to host a certain number of seminars per year that appeal to their own members, as well as to the LBA membership in general.

Membership dues are $10 for each section. Membership runs on a calendar year from January 1 to December 31. You will receive all CLE and section notice mailings throughout the year for the section(s) you belong to.
